BIOPTRON
POLARIZED LIGHT - Originally, photo
medicine used only one portion of the electromagnectic
spectrum, such as infrared or ultraviolet or visible light. In 1981,
a Hungarian research team created a light source
based on laser therapy, but that was able to produce a combination of visible
light and infrared radiation. A Swiss team improved on this invention to create the Bioptron
Light Therapy System. This system does not use only
one wavelength of light like a laser nor is it limited to a single color such
as green. It has a wide range (480 to 3400 nm) that spans the visible and infrared spectrums. No ultraviolet
light is present. Unlike most similar devices, Bioptron light is polarized, which means that the light moves on a parallel
plane.
Bioptron Light has a biostimulative effect that initiates cellular
chain reactions and triggers so-called secondary responses. These
reactions are not limited to the specific site of application
but can also affect the rest of the body. The biostimulation acts in
a natural way by enhancing the body's regenerative capacity
and therefore helping the body to release its own healing potential.
The main treatment indications for this therapy are for wound
healing such as leg ulcers, pressure sores, and burns, and for healing injuries caused by an accident.
It has also been successfully used
to treat pain caused by sports injuries, accidents, and musculoskeletal
problems. Pain relief has also been seen in sciatica, neuralgia and some non-specific pain
syndromes.
The Bioptron is believed to act on cell membranes, which are surrounded by fats and are where proteins
are stored. Bioptron light rearranges and realigns these fats
thereby enabling structural changes in the cell
membrane. The results of strictly monitored clinical applications
of the Bioptron have been impressive and successes have been reported on
a great variety of conditions, including ailments where traditional methods
of treatment have failed. The therapy has not caused any undesirable side effects, even on patients who have had surgery, have
metallic implants, or are taking pain medications. At Alternative Medicine
Pain Management, our doctors evaluate each patient individually and tailor the treatment to his or her needs to ensure the best possible outcome.
